H1B Visa and missiles.

Software that allows companies to function and compete, will be written somewhere.  US companies will do it here: creating jobs, generating tax revenue and new patents, or back in India, China, etc.

What is in our best interest?

We should dramatically expand the H1B visa program to allow the world’s best minds (many graduated here) to contribute to our intelligence-pool, communities and society.

After graduating from our engineering schools (too few Americans chose Engineering) , interning or temping in our best corporations, we deny their requests to remain here and be part of America.  Back home (China, Russia, Arab countries, etc.) they practice what they learned, some building software companies that compete with us, some building advance electronics, weapons and delivery methods.

No long ago, our Company had working side by side an American Engineer who had worked developing missiles to deliver weapons to the USSR, and a Russian Engineer with experience in Russia developing missiles aimed at us.  It was reassuring that both engineers are working here.

If we care to put our interests first, the choice for the H1B visa program is clear.
