Russia has accused the EU of trying to carve out a new sphere of influence in what Moscow sees as its own backyard.
English Translation: "We will continue to rape this former Soviet Republics, and we don't want anyone to interfere."
For centuries, Russia has invaded and controlled their own people and neighbors, under different names and pretext, and they are determined to continue to do so, demanding that the rest of the world lends a blind eye, using gas, oil, assassination and their nuclear arsenal as their 'convincing' arguments.
Moscow left a legacy of corruption and a class of oligarchs in every former Soviet nation, to insure their dependency on Russia and show the world how those young nations are 'not ready' for EU or NATO membership.
